A charming 19th century single storey stone cottage (no steps/stairs inside the cottage) with an enclosed garden. In a secluded location set in the heart of Ryedale - the Howadian Hills "an area of outstanding natural beauty".

August Bank Holiday week still available.

3 miles from Castle Howard. A perfect location for exploring the North York Moors, Ryedale, historic York, Whitby, Scarborough and the East Coast. Golf fishing, horseriding and swimming pool all nearby.

An excellent base for families, walkers and cyclists. Visit Britain approved as meeting criteria for these welcome schemes.

We can accommodate twins and have a lot of child friendly equipment for babies and toddlers. This includes a baby monitor, 2 high chairs and 2 booster seats and a baby gym as well as a good selection of toys for inside and out.

Walks from the doorstep. Only 3 miles from the characterful market town of Malton & close to the delightful maket towns of Helmsley and Pickering.

Many and varied attractions within easy reach to suit all ages: These include Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall (National Trust), Lavender farm Walled Gardens (Helmsley & Scampston) and Museums (including Eden Camp - an ex World War 2 camp) & Flamingoland Zoo and Themepark. Also National Trust & English Heritage properties & gardens within easy reach.

Newly refurbished to a high standard throughout in 2007/2008.

Sleeps 4, twn & doube rooms (there is some flexibility in sleeping arrangements -please enquire') and cot available on request.

By Road:
If travelling from the west on the A64, take the B1248 signposted to Malton (at the beginning of the Malton bypass). After about a mile and before reaching the town centre turn left along the Castle Howard road (signposted with a brown Castle Howard sign). The cottage is 3 miles along, in the hamlet of Easthorpe, on the corner of the right turn to Amotherby.

If travelling from the east on the A64 it is best to leave the bypass and drive into Malton. Leaving Malton centre on the York Road turn right onto the Castle Howard road (shortly after the war memorial - also on the right).

By Public Transport:
The Transpennine Express train to Malton Railway Station or Yorkshire Coastliner bus or other bus to Malton Bus Station. Cottage is 3 miles outside Malton - on Castle Howard Road - accessible via Bus Route No 842 - The Castle Howard Shuttle (between April and October only). Alight at Easthorpe (on request). Ryedale Taxis available from the Train Station (opposite bus station).
