The popular town of Kirkby Lonsdale is a short drive from Dovestone Cottage, a mere 3 miles, and offers a host of interesting outlets ranging from craft and antique shops to quaint tea rooms serving delicious homemade fayre. The medieval market town of Kendal is also close by where you can find a Museum, a castle and ample stores to satisfy even the keenest of shoppers. Closer to home, Old Hutton is a pretty village, a former winner of the National Villages in Bloom competition and the perfect choice for a relaxing break. Holmescales Riding Centre and Holmescales Activity Centre, both a short walk from Dovestone Cottage, are ideal for sampling at some point during your stay, particular good fun for the larger party.

Dovestone Cottage is a most spacious and very comfortable property, Pleasantly presented in a traditional style and with quality fittings throughout. The two sitting areas and spacious dining kitchen offer greater flexibility for a larger gathering and the children's playground in the garden will certainly be the main focus of the holiday where the younger ones are concerned.
